Marion Dorothy St Amand Obituary
Marion St. Amand, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is now reunited with her parents, Robert and Dorothy, as well as her siblings Bobby, Barb, Donnie, and Billy.
Marion leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by her brother-in-law and dear friend, Dave, as well as her loving children: Cindy, Charlene and her husband Allan, Michelle and her husband Nick, and Georgie and her husband Steve. Marion was also a cherished grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and aproud great-grandmother to 8 and counting great-grandchildren.
A passionate Elvis Presley fan, Marion’s dream was to visit Graceland, the home of The King, in Memphis, Tennessee. She loved everything about him and his music. When not enjoying Elvis tunes, Marion was found dancing, reading, gardening, or solving word searches.
Politics were a subject dear to her heart, and she never shied away from a spirited debate or argument. Above all, Marion was a family person—her family was her greatest joy, and she found immense happiness being surrounded by those she loved.
Marion also enjoyed her spa days and long drives, relished a good bowl of popcorn, and spent many hours playing card games—two of her favorites being Wizard and Rummy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Dorothy Lay Hospice and all those who provided care and comfort to Marion during this time. Your kindness and support are truly appreciated.
Marion’s warmth, wit, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and a woman who was always there for those she cared about.
Friends are invited to Ridley Funeral Home at 3080 Lake Shore Blvd Drive in Etobicoke on Saturday, March 29th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM for a Visitation, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM.
