It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mario Colonna, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on January 17 2025, at the age of 92. Mario was born in Patrica, Frosinone, Italy, on January 24, 1932.
Mario is survived by his loving wife of many years, Liliana Colonna. He was a proud father to Joe (Marina) and cherished his role as a grandfather to Joeanne (Nick), Leanna (Soom), and great-grandfather to Joseph. Mario’s family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild grow.
Funeral visitation will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Demarco Funeral Home (3725 Keele Street, Toronto, ON, M3J 1N4). The funeral visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location, followed by an entombment at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St, Concord, ON, L4K 1A7).
Mario will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
