Marilyn Agnes Greer
The passing of Marilyn Agnes Greer of Fredericton , NB , wife of Jack Greer, occurred on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Shannex-Neill Hall. Born on January 16, 1940 in Plaster Rock, NB, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Lena (Martin) Hall.
In addition to her husband, Marilyn is survived by her children, Joanne Sierpinski (Doug), Timothy Greer, Michael Greer (Wendy), Jeffrey Greer (Cathy), Patrick Greer (Sandra) and Sherri Greer; grandchildren, Shawn, Shane, Christa, Tamara, Kyle, Emily, Rebecca, Kyle Michael, Jacinda, CJ, NJ, JJ,Logan, Natasha, Kaylyn and Glendin; siblings, Pearl Haines and Judy Doucette; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, Allan Hall; her sisters, Glenna and Margaret and brothers in law, Gerry Caines and Bob Doucette.
Marilyn spent the majority of her career in Healthcare. She worked for York Manor and Red cross for many years. Marilyn loved to cook, it was her passion. When she was no longer able to cook, she was always looking for new recipes. Marilyn loved her cocker spaniels, she enjoyed taking them to dog shows and gaining championships. Marilyn also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. We will miss her songs, sayings and her lively spirit.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive , Fredericton , NB on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 1-2 pm; followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm with Father John Jennings and Pastor Steven Teed officiating. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or to Diabetes Canada. Family would like to thank the nurses at Neill Hall-Shannex for their care and compasion given to Marilyn during her time there. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
