Marie “Marion” Isabel MERKE (nee Miller), passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 24, 2024 at the age of 97. Marion was born in Melville, Saskatchewan. She moved with her family to Vancouver, B.C. where she met her husband, Harvey, and celebrated 59 wonderful years together. They moved to Maple Ridge in 1968 where they continued to raise their family.
Marion is survived by her three children, Janice, Ken (Diane) and Ron (Sue), 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and her beloved sister Violet (Jack). She is joined in rest with her loving husband Harvey (1924-2010); and her siblings, Helen, Ernie, Ed and son-in-law Don Allen.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 12145 Laity Street, Maple Ridge, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
