Obituary of Marie Jeanne Couture
Couture: Marie Jeanne (née Couture) –
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Aunt Marie Jeanne Couture, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 89.
Born in Chatham, Marie Jeanne was the Daughter of the late Francis and Melda (née Couture) Couture.
Marie Jeanne is reunited with her siblings Ovila, Marion, Cecile, Adele, Leona, Yvonne and their spouses.
Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Marie Jeanne will be missed by her many friends at Maple City Retirement.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Maple City Retirement for their continuous support, compassion and friendship towards Marie Jeanne.
Marie Jeanne was an avid card player, she enjoyed playing euchre, but was known for her good luck in pepper. Family was very important to Marie Jeanne, she grew up on the family farm and helped take care of her parents.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 2:00 – 5:00pm . A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculee Conception and St. Philippe Parish, 24150 Winter Line Road, Pain Court at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Donations made in memory of Marie Jeanne to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
