Marianne Wiedemann
February 19, 1940 – May 2, 2025
Passed away in the comfort of her home at the age of 85. Loving wife of late husband, Siegfried. Devoted mother of Ilse, Frank (Carmela), Christine (Adam), and Jennifer (Joel). Beloved grandmother to Vanessa, Rebecca (Patrick), Christin (Brandon), Sarah, and Marlies. Great-grandmother to Henry and Lauren. Marianne is survived by her brother Lui, and extended family in Ottawa and Germany.
Marianne was born and raised in West Germany. She immigrated to Canada alongside her husband in 1962. Marianne was the matriarch of the family. She was a pillar of strength. She found her greatest joy in raising her children and building a home filled with warmth and love. She gave without expectation and loved unconditionally. From attending sporting activities, to weekends away at the family cottage, Marianne always put her family first. She was courageous, kind, and loving.
Respecting Marianne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the SPCA
