With saddened hearts, we announce the falling asleep in the Lord of Maria Vrionis, on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 90 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late Panagiotis (Peter)(2024)of 56 years, and adored mother of the late Dr. Helen Audrey Vrionis (2022). Reunited with her parents, and many more loved ones in Heaven. She will be remembered by her brothers and sister along with her sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law of Greece; devoted cousins here and in Greece; loving nieces and nephews of Canada, USA, and in Greece; Koumbaroi, loving godchildren, dear friends, students and gracious neighbours.
Born in Piraeus, Greece, Maria pursued an education in accounting in Athens, Greece, later immigrated to Canada and married Panagiotis. Maria and Peter were dedicated in their faith and support of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. Maria had many roles during her life; accountant, teacher for the Greek School, friend, but her most valued and cherished role was that of mother to Lena.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 12, 2025, from 6-9 pm with Thrice Holy Hymn Service beginning at 7:30 pm at Families First (3260 Dougall Avenue, South Windsor, 519-969-5841). On Thursday February 13, 2025 family and friends are invited directly to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, (3052 Walker Road, Windsor) for 10:30 am visitation followed by funeral service honouring Maria’s life at 11:00 am. Procession to Windsor Memorial Gardens for interment (1100 Division Road Windsor).
