MEDEIROS, Maria (Corderio da Ponte) – Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the age of 88.
Reunited with her beloved husband Antonio Medeiros (2017). Loving mother of Ana Isabel de Medeiros (Chris), Helena Maria Medeiros (John), Margaret Van Buggenhout (Michael) and Lisa Medeiros (Dave). Proud grandmother of Michael (Valerie), Victoria (Rob), Alyssa (Masen), Ryan (Nicole), Benjamin (Ellie), Samuel, Mitchell (Jayden), Maxwell (Beth), and Jordan (Liam). Great-grandmother of Kaydence, Makayla, Cameron, Emma Grace, Ty and Aidan. Survived by her brothers Antonio (Lurdes), Moises (Zelia). Sadly missed by the many children she helped raise and shared her love to, through her career in childcare. Predeceased by her parents Antonio Cordeiro da Ponte and Antonia Macedo, sister Gloria (Elias), and son-in-law Kevin Travnicek.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington St. N., Woodstock on Friday, February 14, 2025, between 2- 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. A complete Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery following Mass. Guests are invited to the Parish Life Centre for a reception and time of continued fellowship after the burial.
