1938 – 2025
With sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Gertrudes Da Silva on February 23, 2025 at the age of 86. Loving wife for 51 years to Antonio, she leaves behind her cherished sons John (Marie) and Nuno (Liam). Grandmother of John Paul and Evora. She will be missed by her many family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) for visitation on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Maria will then be laid to rest at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St., north of Steeles Ave.).
In memory of Maria, donations may be made to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
