Margot Mathilde Seifert Obituary
Margot Mathilde Seifert (1930-2025)
Margot passed away on Tuesday Jan 14, 2025, peacefully in her sleep, in the comfort of her home at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Richard and her brother Kurt Brinckmann. She was the caring mother of Mike and Stefan (Kathy) of Alberta as well as the favourite aunt of Ulrike Hannemann (Peter) of Germany.
Margot led a full life immigrating to Canada in 1952 where she married Richard. She actively raised her family along with her many German Shepherds as they moved to many locations across Canada, Brazil, West Africa, and Belgium. Margot and Richard finally settled down in the Kingston area where she pursued her bookkeeping interests and volunteering with Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) brailling many books and documents. Margot’s other great passion is a great love of outdoors and wildlife rehabilitation.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the CNIB (www.cnib.ca) or Hope for Wildlife www.hopeforwildlife.net .
Cremation has been entrusted to James Reid Funeral Home, Kingston ON.
