Hattayer, Margit “Mary”
With great sadness the family announce the passing of Margit “Mary” Hattayer at the age of 90 on January 8, 2025. Beloved wife for over 65 years of the late John Hattayer (Jan. 4, 2017). Loving mother of Mary Kearley, John (Jean), Tibor, Joe (Kathy-Jo) and Ildiko (Mike) Inglis and mother in law of Jim, Sandra and Christine. Proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear sister in law of the late Ilona Zigo and Edit (Balint) Tolnai in Hungary.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, January 12 from 2-4 o’clock. Prayers will be held at 3:45pm. Mary was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Community, her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 377 Oakland Avenue, on Monday morning, January 13 at 11 o’clock. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Patrick’s Church would be appreciated.
