Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Saettler
Saettler, Margaret Elizabeth
It is with heavy hearts the family of Margaret Elizabeth Saettler announces her passing on May 23, 2025 in London, Ontario at the age of 90.
Margaret is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Steve), Erik (Yume) and Ann Katrine and grandchildren Claire, Katherine and John Latosinsky, and Emi and Mei Saettler. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Saettler.
Margaret was born in Strathroy to Wave and Jim Dymond on May 26, 1934. Raised on the family farm on the “6th line”, she went to high school at SDCI and graduated in 1951. She went on to earn a teaching certificate from London Normal School. She loved her career as a primary school teacher until she left teaching to raise her family, make a beautiful home at the family farm and support Bob in his career at Philips Electronics. After Bob’s death in 1975 she devoted herself to caring for her young children and was the unwavering rock on whom her family and many friends and relatives anchored themselves. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, wisdom and thoughtful advice.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to McCormick Home for their care over the last few months of Margaret’s life.
