Margaret Scammell Obituary
Margaret Caroline Scammell, age 85, lifelong resident of Stratford passed away peacefully after a lengthy health battle on Tuesday March 25, 2025 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late John and Catherine (Kerr) Burnett. Best friend and true love of Glen Scammell of 71 years. Proud and loving mother of Chuck Scammell (Debbie Newell). Grandmother to Allan, Ilesha, Megan, Kelsy and great grandmother to Haylynn, Caleb, Colton, Spencer, Khristopher and Annabelle. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her siblings Wallace, Robert, Alma Metzger, Norma MacDonald and Don.
In keeping with Margaret’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will celebrate her life privately with an interment in Avondale Cemetery.
