We are heartbroken to announce that our precious Mom gracefully and peacefully passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 75 years.
She was the strongest link in our family chain. She was loved beyond measure and will be forever missed. A true caregiver at heart and always happiest when those she loved were healthy and thriving. Our hearts are heavy but we are comforted in knowing she is no longer in any pain
She fought her health battles with grace and dignity and was admired by many for her strength and kindness.
Margie enjoyed a successful career because of her work ethic, determination and her passion for building meaningful relationships. She considered many she worked with friends and though retired many years always kept in touch.
Margie is predeceased by her mother Agnes Humby, daughter-in-law Kristin Hedges, sister Mary Rosenow (Ale), brother Gerry Humby, mother-in-law Bessie Hedges, father-in-law Herbert Hedges and brother-in-law Bill Hedges.
Left to cherish her memory the love of her life and best friend of (54 years) her husband Vince Hedges, her three children: Paul Hedges (Nikita), Jason Hedges, Kelly Gosse (David). Her precious grandchildren who lit up her world Lily Gosse, Cooper Gosse, Brooke Hedges and Taylor Hedges.
Left also with precious memories her brother John Humby, sister Cathy Taylor (Moe), sister-in-law Patricia Humby, brother-in-law Gerry Hedges (Sue), sister-in-law Christine Hedges as well as nieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by her special friends Teresa, Willamina and Barb.
We want to thank Dr. Kirby, Dr. Woodman and the Vascular floor at St. Clare’s for their care and support during this difficult time
Visitation will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home LeMarchant Road on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9-p.m.
As an expression of sympathy donations in her name can be made to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
She leaves behind a remarkable example of a life well lived filled with love for her family. Though she may not be with us her spirit will continue to guide us in our lives and her memory will always be cherished. We will be forever grateful and thankful she was our Mom.
Private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
