Obituary
Margaret Anne Behnke (nee Utter), age 84, passed away on January 6, 2025 at Kensington Gardens Long-Term Care Home in Toronto. She was the wife of Gernhard (predeceased), mom to Judy (Norm), and sister of Emily (George predeceased) and Edith (Harold). She was an aunt and friend to many. She was loved.
Her family thanks Kensington Gardens staff, especially those in South 1 Es, who made Marg’s final years and hours as comfortable and peaceful as they could be. The staff always loved her quick wit, saucy remarks and her sense of humour. The family is grateful to every staff member who cared for her in some way.
Her loss will be felt by the many lives she touched in her 84 years. But her generous spirit and love she had for her friends and her family will live with them for their lifetime.
There will be no services and cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kensington Health Foundation at www.kensingtonhealth.org/memorial-giving or by phone at 416-964-3636 or by mail to Kensington Health Foundation at 250-340 College St, Toronto, ON M5T 3A9 noting contribution is in Margaret’s name.
