Marcus Garnet Musson, a man whose laughter and love knew no bounds, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in his hometown of Windsor on February 23, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on November 18, 1984, to Malcolm and Nancy Musson, Marcus was a lifelong resident of Windsor, where he built a life as rich in joy as it was in love.
Marcus is survived by his beloved spouse Kelley, with whom he shared a love that was the bedrock of their family. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Amberlynn and Summerlee, and cherished the joy of being grandparents to Emmalynn. He was a devoted son to his parents, Malcolm and Nancy Musson, and a caring brother to Michael (Melissa) and Matthew (Jennifer). Marcus also held a special place in the hearts of his in-laws, Chris (Theresa) and Diane (Greg), and his brother-in-law Mitchell. His role as a dear nephew to Margaret and Terry Chapman and Harold and Elizabeth Musson, as well as a loving uncle to Abigael, Savanna, Brennan, Mason, Calvin, and Karson, brought him immense happiness. He was also proudly survived by his grandparents, Leo and Gisele Drouillard.
Marcus was a dedicated employee for the City of Windsor Public Works in the roads department. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his colleagues and the community he served. His involvement with the department went beyond the day-to-day, as he was always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word.
Above all, Marcus was a family man. His loved ones were the most important thing in his life, and he was never happier than when he was surrounded by them. His competitive spirit shone brightly as a five-time champion of Pleasure Beach horseshoes, and his passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hunting, fishing, boating, and seadooing. Marcus’s fondness for spending time at the cottage provided countless cherished memories for his family and friends.
A man of many interests, Marcus was an avid fan of Star Wars, his enthusiasm for the franchise bringing joy to both himself and those around him. His sense of humor was unrivaled; he loved to joke and had the unique ability to make everyone around him laugh. The words gentle, loving, and funny are mere understatements when describing Marcus’s character.
Marcus’s legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. His gentle spirit and infectious humor have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of joy and the warmth of a loving heart.
As we bid farewell to Marcus Garnet Musson, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a life rich in laughter, love, and cherished moments. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories of those who loved him.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Marcus, thank you for the laughter, the love, and the light you brought into our lives. Your memory will forever be a guiding star to those you have left behind. Rest in peace, dear Marcus, until we meet again.
