Obituary of Makie Leavitt
It is with deep sadness that the family of Makie Leavitt announce her passing, which occurred at her residence on June 5, 2025. Born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan on November 25, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Boyd and Kathleen (Bushfield) Roberts.
Makie is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Leavitt of Newtown; her children: Randall Leavitt (Mariecke) of Fredericton, NB, and Shannon Leavitt-Brown (Mack) of Willow Grove, NB; her grandchildren: Elizabeth, Aylish, Savannah (Shawn), Eric, Morgan, Serena (Kevin), and Jaylynn; her great grandchildren: Willow, Kane, and Charlie; and her sister, Merle Munday of Saskatoon, SK. Makie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Makie was predeceased by her grandson, Aaron.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506-433-1176) from where there will be a visitation held for close family and friends on Friday, June 13 from 5-7pm.
