On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Madeliene Margeriete Van De Velde passed away peacefully surrounded with love at the age of 86. She will be remembered as the beloved wife of George and loving mother of Arlene Delanghe (Mark), Alan Van De Velde (Jackie) and Annette Dalton (Frank). Cherished grandmother of Peter (Adriana), Paul (Elizabeth), Daniel (Amanda), Loren, Nicholas (Scotia), Chelsea, Kennedy (Michael) and great grandmother of Mary, Damian, Noah, Eve, Isaiah, Zachariah and Joan. Madeliene is the daughter of the late Louis and Maria Punnewaert and dearest sister of Annie Vink (late Rene), Julia Van Dorsselaer (late Frank), Vera Lougie (J.P. Couture)(late Bob) and Diane Quesnel (Marcel). She will be lovingly and fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Madeliene farmed in Chatham Township with her husband George and was a faithful member of Holy Family Church and 60 year member of the Catholic Women’s League.
Friends are invited to join her family for a Funeral Mass of the Resurrection at Holy Family Church in Wallaceburg on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11am. A private family burial in Riverview Cemetery will follow the Mass. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-323).
