It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Madden on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at South Huron Hospital, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Alison Madden (Hoy). Loving dad of Sarah (Chris) Vienneau. Cherished papa of Leah Vienneau. Dear brother of Micheal (1958), Raymond (1977), Peggy, Pat, Jerry, Steve, Marie, Judith (1955), Joe, Jim (1992), and Bernice. Greatly missed by his sister-in law Pat Germann. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents
Joesph and Marie Madden.
Ted enjoyed many sports; hockey on a Toronto Star league, racket ball, and karate. He was known for his love of his Irish heritage, visiting Ireland with his wife Alison many times over the years. Ted worked as a district circulation manager for the Toronto Star for over 40 years. Ted and Alison also created lots of cherished memories from their many summer camping trips, ranging from tenting to their fifth wheel.
In keeping with Ted’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and an “Irish wake” will take place at a later date.
Donations to a charity of your choice in Ted’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
