With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mabel our beloved wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us on January 10, 2025. Her life was full of love, laughter, and an unmistakable zest for living.
Mabel was a woman of extraordinary character. Known for her heartiest laugh that could fill a room, she had a unique way of telling it like it is—no sugarcoating, no filter. Her love knew no boundaries. Her generous spirit touched everyone she met. A fabulous cook and baker she made things that were more than just food—they were acts of love that will never be forgotten.
Whether it be a bit of brandy to soothe her cough or a bit of bling to brighten the day, she embraced life with style, confidence, and wit.
Warm phone calls, meaningful talks, and the endless love she showered upon her family and friends will leave a void that cannot be filled. As a spectacular person, she was adored by all. Her sense of humor and fierce loyalty will be deeply missed.
Mabel was the heart and soul of so many lives, we’ll never forget the joy she brought into ours. We’ll forever hold on to the memories, the laughter, and love she gave so freely. Rest in peace, Mabel. We love you to bits and will miss you!

Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St.Orangeville, Ontario on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at 11:00 am. with Visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Memorial donations to Bethell Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Mabel in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
