It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Lynda D’Alessandri at home on Sunday, February 23rd. Lynda was predeceased by her loving parents Pasquale and Gina D’Alessandri. She was an attentive, compassionate and involved big sister who will be deeply missed by her sisters Louise Signoretti (John) and Paula Kennelly (Roger) and her brothers Louis D’Alessandri, Paul D’Alessandri (Laurie) and John D’Alessandri (Johnna). Lynda was an amazing aunt and great aunt, always rejoicing in her nieces and nephews achievements and supporting them when they struggled. Her calls, Facetimes and countless thoughtful gifts will be missed by her nieces Shanda Signoretti, Jessica Stillar (Adam), Carly Freake (Dane) and Jenna Kennelly and her nephews Anthony D’Alessandri, Eric D’Alessandri and Matthew D’Alessandri. Her great nieces Julia Freake, Jordyn Signoretti, Lea Signoretti, Hailey Stillar and her great nephew Colton Stillar were blessed to have been the recipients of Lynda’s generous spirit and unwavering support. Although Lynda never had children of her own, she played a significant role in the lives of the many students she taught throughout her teaching career with the NCDSB. Miss D’Alessandri was a tireless worker, spending many Sunday afternoons at school with her colleagues, preparing for the week ahead. Lynda was tiny, but she was often assigned the challenging classrooms as she could control the room with ease, while still knowing that some of her students needed a little extra care. She became lifelong friends with many colleagues and her Wednesday night group with her dear friends of all ages was a treasured part of Lynda’s life. Lynda endured many health issues after she retired, but she persevered and made sure she had time for her family and friends. As per her wishes cremation has taken place and a private service for her family and close friends will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Lynda’s memory to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
