In loving memory of Luigi Asdrubolini 81 years passed away peacefully at Extendicare York on Sunday, March 16th, 2025.
Beloved husband of 55 years to Paula (nee Jozkow). Loving father of Anna Davies (partner Kev Baghdoyan), Alessandra Gabsby, and Roberto Asdrubolini (wife Pamela Evelegh). Cherished Nonno of Adam predeceased, Amanda, Bradley, and Jadelyn. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.
Luigi was born in Italy on April 17th, 1943, to Giovanni and Anna Asdrubolini (nee Matteo), and was the youngest of 6 siblings. He came to Canada in 1966, and married Paula on April 28th, 1969. He worked at Coca Cola for 30 years. Luigi enjoyed tending to his garden, and grape vines, puttering, and cutting wood for his wood stove. He was known for his good food and homemade wine with his own grapes. He loved cars, wrestling, and cheering on Italy for soccer.
Funeral service will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home (252 Regent Street, Sudbury), on Thursday, March 20th at 2:00 pm. Friends may gather at the funeral home after 12:00 pm on Thursday. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society Sudbury Manitoulin Chapter would be appreciated (cheques only).
