It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Louise Yvonne Clarke (nee McLellan) on Sunday April 6, 2025, at the age of 78 in Ottawa. Louise passed away peacefully surrounded by family members after a long health battle.
Born in Trois Rivieres Quebec, Louise is predeceased by her parents William Arthur McLellan and Rita McLellan (nee Charpentier).
A longtime resident of Orleans Ontario, Louise is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Geoffrey, children Scott (Jennifer) and Jennie and siblings Kathy (Jim), William (Bernetta), Robert (Yolande), David (Christiane), Steven (Claire), Raymond (Dianne), Marian (Yves) and Cynthia (Andre).
Louise was a fighter and throughout her lengthy battle with various illnesses she relied on her faith to always remain positive with a spirit that touched many people. No matter her struggles she always wanted to give to others. She spent many hours creating beautiful quilts that were gifted to others to enjoy whether through the various charities she supported such as Victoria Quilts and the Hospice at Maycourt as well as many friends and family.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life in Louise’s honor on May 17, 2025, between 2:00 and 5:00pm at 1950 Cassandra Street in Vars, ON. (Alternate location in case of inclement weather 817 Swallowtail Crescent in Orleans, ON)
In lieu of flowers we ask that a donation be made to the Orleans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre.
