Obituary
It is with shock and immense sadness that we are announcing the untimely passing of our dear friend, Lorraine.
Lorraine passed away peacefully at the HSC after a very brief battle with bladder cancer.
Lorraine leaves behind the true loves of her life, her fur children (her critters) Lucy and Linus, whom she adored as they lit up her life every day.
Lorraine was born in Germany to her late parents Raymond and Dorris Watts. She will also be met at the pearly gates by her very special stepmother Betty Haskett and her two sisters, Heidi and Cindy.
Leaving to mourn her loss is her son Cpl. Ryan O’Toole and her sister Dianne Roach (husband, Patrick) all residing in ON.
Lorraine was an outgoing, adventurous, tenacious, smart, independent and most of all loving woman. To know her was to know the true meaning of friendship. Her friendships are what she held nearest and dearest to her. There are so many that all can’t be mentioned individually however, just know that every single one of you held a special place in Lorraine’s heart. Honorable mention to her group of “Toronto Girlfriends” who will cherish a lifetime of memories of her, and to her special friends whom she chose to call “Framily” that saw her through her final days, Wanda Keating (and family) and Amanda Arsenault (and family) – a constant source of joy and strength in her life and always encouraging her when she needed it most.
Lorraine was very proud to call Torbay NL her home for many years and we would like to thank her amazing neighbours for everything they have done for Lorraine especially during her illness.
We would also like to thank all the nursing staff on 5 south Urology floor at the Health Sciences Centre, her primary care Physician Dr. Sonny Collis and her amazing urologist Dr. French.
Visitation for Lorraine will take place on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Caul’s Funeral Home, TORBAY, from 2-4pm. A celebration of Lorraine’s life will follow at Caul’s Chapel at 4:00pm.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to Beagle Paws Rescue Organization, St. John’s, NL.
“Farewell to a person who made the world infinitely better”
