It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Lori who passed away at The Carpenter Hospice, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the age of 66. Beloved fiancé to Keith Stead. Reunited with her husband, Gregory Sharpe, to whom she was married for 24 years before his passing in 2016. Cherished stepmother to Michelle (Kevin Chatman) Bolton and Chris (Traci Steffler) Sharpe. Proud grandmother to Austin, Jakob, Eva, Josh, Jordan, Ophelia. Dearly missed by her father Lloyd (the late Agnes) Waumsley as well as her sisters Lea Anne (Jim Chan) Moran and Lynn Schumacher, nephews Aaron (Kendall Large) Moran and Jamie Schumacher and great-nephews Jake and Archer. Predeceased by her mother Gloria (the late John) Owen (nee Johnston), her stepfather, John Owen, and niece Jodie. Lori’s infectious smile, her warm friendship, and her unceasing optimism touched so many during her lifetime. She may be gone from this world; however, she lives on in the stories and memories she has left with all those she touched during her lifetime. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends.
As per Lori’s wishes, and those of her family, a private cremation will be taking place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Ovarian Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333.
