With saddened hearts, we announce that Loretta May Marie Kuntz passed away at the age of 80 years, on December 19, 2024.
Loretta was born at Kinistino, Saskatchewan, on May 10, 1944, and later moved to Saskatoon with her three sisters, and parents, Joseph and Elsie Janex.
After high school, Loretta went to business college and then worked for Swift Canadian Meats. Then she got hired with the Catholic School Board as a teacher associate, where she stayed for over thirty-two years.
George and Loretta married in 1963 and lived in Saskatoon. They had three children, Michael, Dennis, and Kathy. Michael and his wife Patty have three children, Andrew (deceased), Spencer and his wife Lee, and Kole and his friend, who all live in Calgary, A.B. Dennis and his wife Rénee and their two children Presley and Colton and girlfriend Salome, who live in Saskatoon, SK. Kathy and her husband Dylan Burtman have two children Daven and Anja, and live in Langley, B.C.
Loretta has three sisters, Betty and Loren Perry (deceased) from Wynyard, S.K., and they have two children Chuck and Candice and their two children Emma and Gabby, of Regina, S.K. Sally and Jasen, of Lethbridge, A.B. Marilyn and Vic Podiluk of High River, A.B., and their two sons Lorne and Darren, who live in Calgary, A.B.
Loretta was a very kind and thoughtful person; she was willing to help in any way that she could. She was a wonderful mother and a great cook.
We will all miss her dearly. Loretta is now with God and family.
A family interment to be held in the Spring of 2025.
