Peacefully with her son Patrick and daughter-in-law Jean by her side at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday, March 24, 2025 in her 101st year.
Loving mother of Raymond and (late Nancy – 2000) of Powassan, Ontario and Patrick (Jean) of Woodstock, Ontario.
Dear grandmother of James (Trisha) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Patrick (Marni) of Houston, Texas, U.S.A., Jennifer (Nelson) of Milton, Ontario, Ellen Crozier of Astorville, Ontario and Ashely Muttart of Astorville, Ontario. Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews whom she enjoyed.
Predeceased by her parents James and Vera Woodhouse, sister Marie Moon (2012) (Lorne), Catherine Cowan (1976) (Gordon), brothers Horace (2002) (Delores), Arnold (2014) (Shirley) and grandson Carey Muttart (2002).
Born in East Oxford Township, November 17, 1924. Attended Beaconsfield School. Her working days began at the Norwich Broom Factory in 1940, then Firestone in Woodstock, for 6 years, then at Harvey-Woods which she spent for 37 years.
She loved to sew, knit, do needle point and enjoyed lunches with the Harvey-Woods girls. Also enjoyed visits from her nieces and nephews. She was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Coronation Street; skating was one of her passions and a love of cats.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, 519-863-3020, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:00 – 10:45 am., funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Spring Interment at the C.G. Walker Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
