Lois Anne Fietje Obituary
Lois Anne Fietje, fun loving wife, caring inspiring Mom, dependable supportive daughter, creative and spunky sister and friend, adventurous and courageous missionary, high-capacity nurse, and a blessing to all who knew her, passed into eternal life with Jesus on February 5th, 2025, in Lisaard House, Cambridge, ON.
Lois Anne Wright was born in Steinbach, Manitoba, September 27, 1951. She lived a full life experiencing struggle and comfort, local community, and the diversity of living overseas. Lois is survived by her husband Willem Fietje, their four children Bethany (Mihai, Gabriel, Sebastian, Caylen) Șerengheu, Jordan (Sara, Graydon, Emmett, Willem) Fietje, Meredith (Mike, Owen, Bronwyn) Hennink, and Daniel (Laura, Caleb, Emery, Cohen) Fietje.
Lois lived out her faith in Jesus through her ministry in missions in Asia, hospital and community nursing, volunteering, and openness to the person in front of her. She loved making and listening to music, creative projects, decorating her home, arranging flowers, cooking and baking, history and culture, gathering and spending time with her family. She was a person of high capacity that inspired and led. A courageous lover of God and others, she leaves a huge gap and will be greatly missed.
We welcome those who want to celebrate the life of Lois Fietje to a memorial service at Forward Church, 55 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge, February 16th. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm with the memorial service at 3:00 pm.
