It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liya Worm-Thompson on Friday, December 27, 2024.
She leaves to mourn her mother Airanne Worm and her father Gabriel Thompson; siblings Sorrel-Raine, Mayve, and Kylo Gambler; kokum Melissa; aunties Alyssa, Abony, Ashley, Aaliyah, Ava, and Jaelah; uncles Johnson, Jon, Phoenix, and Damon; cousins June, Jade, Bryson, Brydon, Dawson, Darius, and Keiana, Keiston, Keighan and Ayven; chapan Glenda Worm; chapan Lillian (Leonard) Ewenin-Favel; chapan Richard DeMarais (Lorraine); mushum Carl Gambler; aunt Nikki Thompson; uncles Scotty and Brandon Thompson; cousin Gavin; as well as numerous other chapans, kokums, mushums, aunties, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Liya was predeceased by her grandmother Nellie Thompson; and her grandparents Jonathon Ewenin and Jessica George.
Wake at Kawacatoose First Nation Band Office- Elders Lodge on Monday, December 30, 2025 at 4:00p.m. Funeral Service at Kawacatoose First Nation Band Office- Elders Lodge on Tuesday, December 31, 2025 at 11:00a.m. The family respectfully requests no children and no flowers.
