With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Line Gilmore (Gagnon), who left us on February 28, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Line was the beloved wife of Brett Gilmore and the proud mother of Emily Gilmore. She was also a stepmother to Jodi Gilmore Dykeman and a fiercely devoted grandmother to Keenan, Vivian, Hayden, and Harper. She is survived by her mother, Yolande Gagnon; her sisters, Marianne Bourque and Murrielle Cormier; her brother, Maurice Gagnon, and beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Claude Gagnon; her sister, Monique Friedel; and her brother, Yvon Gagnon. She also leaves behind her loyal four-legged companion, King Arthur.
Anyone who knew Line knows that she loved jamming in the car to loud music. She was happiest in the kitchen, cooking and baking up a storm, making sure everyone was well-fed with her tasty meals. She had a great sense of humor, a big heart, and a love for shopping. She had a strong work ethic, excelling at craftsmanship like her father, and had an incredible eye for interior design. She also cherished spending time in the gazebo at the top of the hill on their property, enjoying the quiet moments with those closest to her.
Above all, Line loved her family fiercely, especially her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. Her warmth, humor, and strength will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In keeping with her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honor of Line, turn up the music, cook something delicious, and shop for something you don’t need—but would love.
