It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Margrethe Diekert on Sunday March 16th, 2025.
Surrounded by her family at Palmerston hospital at 71 years of age, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Linda leaves behind her beloved husband Dan Diekert, and the two joys of her life, her daughters, Lea Natarelli and Tamara (Kevin) Natarelli.
Also left to grieve are her precious grandchildren Anthony, Abigail, Kristian and Alivia.
Cherished by her sister Lilian Edsall and her brother Al (Linda) Jensen, her nieces Alyssa & Jennifer and her in-laws Willie & Agnes Diekert along with brother-in-law Ben Diekert.
She is predeceased by her parents Leif & Johanna Jensen.
Linda was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and immigrated to Canada in 1957, where she went on to live a beautiful life in Ontario.
Linda lived a life full of love, laughter and kindness to all, giving back wherever she was able to. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, daughter, auntie and dear friend to many. She was a hard worker all her life and retired to spend her days roaming in her beautiful gardens with her dogs, Saydee and Macy and to spend time with Dan, her family and dear friends she made along the way.
She will be so very missed by us all.
As per Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
Memorial donations can be made to Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation to honor the exceptional and compassionate care during her final days.
