Linda Eileen LeBlanc
January 17, 1942 – January 24, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Eileen LeBlanc (Newell), who passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at the age of 83.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Leonard LeBlanc; and their three children, Gerry (Cheryl) LeBlanc, Jeff (Christina) LeBlanc, and Lisa (Kevin) Madden. She was a proud grandmother to Brett, Andrew, Evan, and Lucas. Linda will also be deeply missed by her sister, Becky (Al) Boudreau; her sister-in-law, Rose Atkinson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Linda devoted her entire career to various roles within the provincial government, where she was a valued and respected employee. Her passions outside of work included traveling, gardening, baking, and, most of all, spending quality time with her beloved family and friends.
Linda’s kindness, warmth, and generosity touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her love of life and her unwavering dedication to those she held dear.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. The funeral mas will be held on Tuesday, January 28, at 11 a.m. at Saint Ambrose Church, followed by interment at Chebogue (Town Point) Cemetery. A reception will be held at Saint Ambrose Church at 1 p.m. for family and friends to gather and celebrate Linda’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Parkinson Canada in Linda’s memory.
