Linda Constance Lindsay (née Lucas) in her 89th year passed away peacefully after a short illness on March 26, 2025 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie. She leaves her husband of sixty years, Andrew and her sons David and Scott, her beloved daughter-in-law, Amanda and her grandson, Andrew. The family has been blessed by her warm, caring nature, her many friendships and volunteer work at RVH and Meals on Wheels.
Linda was born in Toronto but spent her growing years travelling in the U.S. with her parents who were involved in the theatre and radio. She attended Northern Collegiate in Toronto and participated in their theatrical presentations.
Linda moved to the Barrie area in 1972 with her young family and developed some wonderful friendships which have lasted for all her years.
Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tong and nursing staff at RVH for their wonderful care. A special thanks to the caring staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie who have made her final days peaceful.
