It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian (Maud) Strowbridge announce her passing on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age 96 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Joy (Cal), Lillian, Linda, Sheila (Ted), Eric (Bertha) and Jim (Loretta); 13 grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother John (Mona) Rose; sister Hettie (Reg) Blagdon; sisters-in-law Beryl Rose and Josephine Rose; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James Strowbridge, parents Cecil and Joy Rose, sisters Eunice and Jean, brothers Melvin and Fred, son-in-law Robert, daughters-in-law Elaine and Louise. A very special thank you to the 5th floor and the Palliative Care Unit. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with The Ven. Edward King officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation, Cuddle Bed Project.
