Lillian McCallum Obituary
The family of Jean McCallum (nee Oliver) are saddened to announce her passing on Saturday March 8, 2025 at the age of 95 years. She is survived by her loving son, Tim. Jean was a caring grandmother to Lisa and Sara (Jet). Jean is also dearly missed by her great grandchildren: Lauryn, Emerson and Elton.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years John A McCallum in 2010, her parents George and Lillian Oliver and her 3 older siblings, Marie (Herb), Alfred (Elysee) and Harold ‘Bud’.
Jean was born in Dutton, Ontario and lived much of her life there. She graduated with a Business diploma from Westervelt College. Jean was employed at London City Hall before moving back to Dutton upon marrying John in 1952. She worked at the Dutton Royal Bank for several years. Jean was an active member of the Church of Nativity (Anglican) in Dutton until she moved to London to be closer to family in 2013. Jean lovingly took care of her family her whole life. She was loved deeply and will always be remembered.
Visitation will be held at Arn Funeral Home in Dutton on Wednesday March 12, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. This will be followed by a memorial service which will be conducted at 3:45 pm at the funeral home chapel. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations to West Elgin Daffodil Auxiliary would be appreciated. Messages of condolence and memories may be left at arnfuneralhome.ca
