Leonard Thomas Jesso Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leonard Thomas Jesso at the Bay St George Long Term Care Centre at the age of 83 years.
Mourning his passing are: daughter Cheryl (Brian Bennett); son Leslie; partner Doris White; Doris’ daughters: Jennifer Sohm (Sean),Twila (James), and Rhonda Thomas (Ronald); his buddy Connor; brothers: Andrew (Veronica), Charles (Marcia), and Reginald (Corilee); sisters: Ann Conn and Lillian Sutherland; and sisters- in-law: Marg Jesso, Mary Jesso, Wanda Jesso and Judy Felix; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Leonard was predeceased by: his parents Andrew and Angeline (nee Dennis); first wife Doreen (nee Pinsent); second wife Eileen (nee LePrieur); brothers: William (Helen), Doug, Raymond (Sylvia), Kevin, Alphonsus, and Gerald; sisters: Monica Harkness (Reginald McCarthy) (William Harkness), and Margaret; brothers- in-law: William Conn and John Sutherland.
Dad loved dancing the two step and the old fashion waltz. He was always the first one on the dance floor. He also loved rabbit catching, fishing and berry picking. He was a hard worker all of his life. Some of his jobs included fisherman, woodsman and construction worker. He was always the gentleman but he could be stern, when he needed to be, or when he saw injustice.
We will forever be grateful for the care he received at both Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital and Bay St George Long Term Care Centre.
Following his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations in Leonard’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
