C’est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès paisible de Léo Liboiron, survenu le 7 avril 2025, à l’âge de 88 ans, à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district. Époux dévoué de Germaine Liboiron (née Perron), Léo laisse le souvenir de 61 années de mariage et d’une famille unie, fondée sur la foi et la bienveillance. Il était un père aimant de Daniel (Annie Demers), Gilles (Jessica) et Ronald (Jennifer), un grand-père attentif de Jordane, Alexane, Hadassa, Bethany, Justin, Abigail et Liam, ainsi qu’un arrière-grand-père comblé de Lara et Susanna. Il laisse dans le deuil son frère Donald Liboiron et sa sœur Annette Vien, ainsi que de nombreux parents et amis. Il rejoint dans la paix ses sœurs Claire Lefebvre et Réjeanne Legault et ses parents William et Léa Liboiron.
Léo a consacré sa carrière au Groupe d’embouteillage Pepsi, où il était apprécié pour sa loyauté et sa gentillesse. Il aimait les plaisirs simples : son chalet au lac Munro, la nature, la pêche, la chasse, la cueillette de bleuets et la philatélie. Homme de cœur et de principes, il laisse un héritage d’amour, de douceur et de générosité.
L’incinération a eu lieu, et une célébration de sa vie sera tenue ultérieurement. Des dons en sa mémoire peuvent être faits à la Fondation de l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés au SALON FUNÉRAIRE MIRON-WILSON, CENTRE D’INCINÉRATION ET DE RECEPTION, 150 sud, rue Balsam, Timmins.
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Léo Liboiron at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the age 88 years. Beloved husband of 61 years to Germaine Liboiron (née Perron). Léo was a devoted father to Daniel (Annie Demers), Gilles (Jessica) and Ronald (Jennifer), a proud grandfather to Jordane, Alexane, Hadassa, Bethany, Justin, Abigail and Liam and a loving great-grandfather to Lara and Susanna. He is survived by his siblings Annette Vien and Donald Liboiron and reunited in spirit with his sisters Claire Lefebvre and Réjeanne Legault and his parents William and Léa Liboiron.
Léo dedicated his career to the Pepsi Bottling Group and was known for his kindness, loyalty and strong work ethic. He cherished his time at his Munro Lake cottage and enjoyed stamp collecting, blueberry picking, fishing and hunting. Remembered for his gentle heart, integrity and deep love for family, Léo leaves behind a legacy of compassion and cherished memories.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
