Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veteran’s Pavilion, Korean War Veteran Leo Joseph Fennelly at the age of 93 years.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary Jane (nee Brennan) Fennelly; sisters Mary Chidley (Stephen), Judith Nolander (James), Ann Power (Arthur), Bernadette Kenny (William); brothers James and Thomas.
Leaving to mourn his wife of 64 years Anita Cecilia Fennelly (nee Kinsella); his children Dolores Wall (David Carew), Paul (Beverley) and Michael (Cecilia Bong); grandchildren Jeffrey Wall (Angela), Stephanie (Robert) Tuck, Ryan and Ellery Fennelly; great-grandson Leo Wall; and brother-in-law Gerald Kinsella. He will also be sadly missed by a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue Mount Pearl on Sunday March 9, 2025 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. A private family service to follow.
Thank you to the staff of the Caribou Memorial Veteran’s Pavilion 2South for his exemplary care..
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Leo’s memory to the Caribou Memorial Veteran’s Pavilion.
