York, Lenore Mary (née Armstrong)
Passed away at Fairhaven Home in Peterborough on March 25th, 2025. Lenore Mary York of Burleigh Falls, formerly of Buckhorn, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Emil York (2007). Dear mother of Paul (Eileen) and Brian (Paula) York, and Kim (Steve) Merrin. Devoted grandmother of Kyle (Nikki), Dustin (Krystle), Brandon (Tressa), Connor (Cherese), Troy, Amy, Tyler (Christina), Hayley (Zach) and Brett (Jammie). Beloved great-grandmother of sixteen great-grandchildren with another on the way. Lenore is survived by her sister Mildred Gordon and sisters-in-law Ruth Armstrong and Alice Armstrong. Lenore is predeceased by her parents Marion and Rollie, husband Emil, sister Iris, and brothers Jack and Keith.
Lenore was full of life and will be remembered by all for her deep love for her family. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lenore enjoyed socializing with others and treated everyone as a friend, even strangers. Lenore’s family would like to thank the staff at Fairhaven Home for their dedication and support.
Arrangements have been entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lakefield Curling Club, 12 Nichols Street, Lakefield, on April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
