Obituary of Lawson Boyer Porter
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Lawson Boyer Porter on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sus, NB. Born in Fredericton, NB, on June 21, 1934, Lawson was the son of the late Lawson Bardon and Wilza Marguerite (Foster) Porter.
Lawson was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished friend. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Dianne (Clarke) Porter of Sus, NB, with whom he shared many wonderful years. His memory lives on through his children: Blair Porter (Erin) of Enterprise, NWT, Brent Porter, and Patty Lynn Porter of Oxford, NS; his treasured grandchildren; and his great-grandchildren. He is also fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lawson was a man of quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering faith. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, whether through his gentle guidance, his warm laughter, or the simple moments spent together. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Karl, and his son Vaughn.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Kiwanis Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB (506-433-1176). A celebration of Lawson’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to share stories and memories.
