Obituary of Lawrence Leslie Dixon
Dixon, Lawrence Leslie {Larry}
Larry Dixon of London in his 93rd year passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones April 22, 2025.
Predeceased by his parents Les and Eleanor, his wife Jacalyn, sister Sue, sister Marion {Jim}, brother Bill {Beverly}, daughter Laurie {Rick}, nephew Matthew and granddaughter Courtney. Dear brother of Dorothy and Wayne. Wonderful father of Tim, amazing grandfather of Brandon {Brie}, Stephanie {Scott} and Josh {Chantelle}. Entertaining great grandfather of Cooper, Ethan, Grayson, Violet, Jack, Brady, Lincoln, Rowan and Charlotte. Caring brother-in-law to Marion {Dale}. Fun uncle to Paul and Lyndsay.
Larry was proud of his athletic accomplishments as a young man in particular his time spent playing with the London Majors. He grew up on Wilson Ave where “Dixon’s Grocery” was just down the road from Labatt Park. He shared many fond memories of the players and fans who were lucky enough to enjoy the Majors games. His retirement years were spent splitting time between Florida and Ipperwash Beach where he and his wife Jackie loved hosting family and friends.
We are grateful for the care and love he received at Henley Place where he was a resident for many years. We are also thankful for the care he received at LHSC for the many challenges he faced over the recent years.
Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Mission Services London. Online condolences and donations may be made at www.forestfuneralhome.com
