It is with
heavy hearts and much love that we announce the death of LaVerne Irene
Hebert of Georgetown PEI, in her 78th year.
LaVerne died peacefully at her home on February 05,
2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in
Georgetown, LaVerne was the daughter of the late JD and Lottie
Blackett and was predeceased by her beloved husband,
Francis.
LaVerne was the much loved
mother of John (Nina), Susan (Derek Johnson), Sheila (Wayne Chiasson)
all of Georgetown, Sharon (Janelle) Stratford and honorary family
member, Ricky Gallant.
Loving Mamie to John Michael
Hebert (Kristen) and Thomas Hebert (Maya); Jenny (Brad) MacKinnon,
Nelly (Nick) Creed, Emma (Spencer) Arsenault, Derian Johnson (Hannah);
and Jeff Hebert (Santana).
Great
grandmother of Landon and Chace Hebert; Maria, Bennett, Nate and Max
MacKinnon; Cameron, William & Anna Creed; Oliver and Callie
Arsenault; and Ivy Hebert.
LaVerne will be
missed by her extended Hebert family in New
Brunswick.
LaVerne was a dedicated and
devoted employee of Seafood 2000 for thirty-two years and over that
time came many friendships with colleagues and fishers. She loved her
job and cherished all of the relationships that were made over the
years, especially with the Dodier, Boudreau and Landry
families.
Resting at the Logan Ferguson
Funeral Home, Montague until Tuesday February 11th for funeral service
at St. James Catholic church in Georgetown at
11am.
Visiting
hours Monday February 10th from 5-7pm
Interment at a later
date.
Donations in lieu of flowers
can be made in LaVerne’s name to the St. James Parish
cemetery fund or the Georgetown Elementary School breakfast club
program.
The family would like to give
special thanks to Dr. Terry Magennis as well as Mallory, Gena and Amy
from the Montague Home Care office for their exceptional care and
compassion.
Also a
special heartfelt thank you to those special family friends who
visited with mom over the past few weeks and shared laughter and
memories.
