Obituary of Laurie Lynn Beam
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laurie L Beam. Laurie passed away peacefully late in the evening of February 21st, 2025 at the age of 59, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Laurie was predeceased by her mother Marietta Beam, her brother Patrick Dearborn and her brother-in-law Doug Boles. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Pam Morningstar, Mary Dearborn, Debbie (Gord) Walls, and Julie Holmes (Rob Leard), along with her large extended family and friends.
Laurie was a lover of animals, children, music and dancing. She enjoyed travelling, attending concerts and always looking fabulous. She had a great sense of humour, a loving and accepting nature, and a zest for life that was an inspiration to anyone who knew her.
We would like to thank the staff at Greater Niagara General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion to our family at this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place. Williams Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements. Friends are invited to a visitation at the Funeral Home, 722 Ridge Road N, on Sunday March 9th at 10 am, with a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 am. A celebration of life will take place at the Ridgeway Region following the Service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurie’s honour can be directed to Anchors Away Support Services, to help individuals in need to attend the annual “Speaking Out” self-advocate’s conference, which Laurie attended every year.
