The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of Laurie Ann Anderson, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Bluewater Health at the age of 71. Beloved wife of William “Bill” Anderson. Predeceased by her parents Clovis and Nora Dodds. Survived by her step-sister Susan Fisher (Margo Meijer) and by her step-brother Wayne Fisher (Kathy). Laurie will be missed sadly by her additional family of in-laws, nephews, and nieces. Laurie and Bill met in 1976 at adjacent offices in Waterloo, Ontario. Followed by marriage, fishing and boating in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, where she earned her Northern College business diploma and started her photo journalism career. Laurie took early Fergus, Ontario retirement to garden and share many travel destinations with Bill at her side, Clearwater, Florida being a favorite. Then the “Bluewater” brought Laurie with Bill to Sarnia in 2010. Bill thanks the caring staff at Bluewater Health for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
