Laurie Alice Yorke (Preece)-
Dec. 13, 1933 – May 7, 2025, gone to her heavenly home at the age of 91.
Beloved Mom of Deborah (Steve) Kostialik, Belinda Yorke (Rick Fox), and Bill Yorke. Loving Grandma of Stephen (Jenny) Kostialik, Emily (Shaun) Evening, Sabrina (Matt) Dykeman, Bill (Kendall) Yorke. Adored Great-Grandma Laurie of Rowan, Asher and Darcy. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Laurie was predeceased by her parents Ernie and Ruby Preece, and siblings Calvin Preece and Myra Young.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Laurie was a very loving, kind, and giving person to all she met on her life’s journey. She worked as a helper at the hospital in her early years. She worked for Ontario Hydro, Playtime store, Rosbergs, Canadian Tire and Marineland as manager of the arcade till she was 79 years old. We will never forget you and how you made a big difference in so many people’s lives. We have many memories to cherish and hold in our hearts. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the employees of Millennium Trail Manor Long Term Care Home for your compassion and care for Laurie during her stay there. In keeping with Laurie’s Wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
