With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Laura Cabral Soares in Delaware, Ontario on February 15th, 2025 in her 96th year. Laura is predeceased by her parents Joao Cabral and Maria da Conceicao Soares and is now forever reunited with her husband Albertino Soares. Loving mother of Carlos (Vidalia), Marcus (Isabel), Paula (Barry) Carson, and Julieta (Carlos) Tavares. Laura will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Glen, Cynthia (Lawrence), Christopher, Andy, David, Joshua, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Vanessa, Michael, and Victoria. Proud great grandmother of Lawrence Jr, Ethan, Kayla and Ashely. Loving sister of Adriana Cabral, Esmeria Tavares, Anezia Melo, Romana Alves and Dinis Cabral. Laura will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Laura would always ask her grandchildren ” You pray to the Lord?” Thank you Mom for leaving us a legacy of the importance of Prayer, that helps us through the challenges in our lives! We love you and will greatly miss you!
Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton Street East, on Thursday February 20th, 2025 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. A Divine Mercy reading will be done by the family at 3:00 p.m. along with Rosary Prayer at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Church on Friday February 21st, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, a memorial mass would be appreciated by the family.
