Laszlo Talos
March 29, 1932 – February 25, 2025
It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Laszlo Talos (Jack) who passed on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the age of 92. He was a family man and a very proud immigrant of Hungary. Who came to Canada to start a safer life with his loving wife Katalin.
Beloved husband of 68 years to Katalin Talos. Loving father of Eva Edwards (Tim), Erika Talos (Eric), Kathy Talos. Cherished grandfather of Stephen, Jacqueline Laszlo, David and great grandchildren Dylan, Chase and Kaden and the furry babies.
He worked hard and took great pride as a machinist to provide a better life for his family. He enjoyed making homemade red wine and goulash. He loved nature, spending time out at camp with family and friends, fishing and was quite the joker. He was the proud owner of Talos Steel for 2 decades. Was known as a “Jack” of all trades and has a passion to make things and solve problems.
Special thanks to wonderful neighbour’s support, Bev, Rita, Peter, Wayne and Nancy, all his Hungarian friends, Community Home Paramedics for the wonderful health care and support and kindness, Dylan, Gab (PSW), Rowena (Rexall), Dr’s Clark and Bonsal, Matthew and Jacob-Bayshore (HCW) especially in the last weeks of his life.
A memorial service will be held in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 3pm. Friends may gather after 2:45pm.
In memory of Laszlo plant a tree in his honour. Have a toast of red wine in memory of the good times. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sudbury Paramedics Association.
