Obituary For Larry Wayne Chaplin
In loving memory of
Larry Wayne Chaplin
March 6, 1952 – Feb 16, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Larry, surrounded by family, after a brief 2 month battle with Acute Pancreatitis (Incurable)
Larry was born & raised in Edmonton. He had numerous professions throughout his life…From ambulance driver in Athabasca, Manager of the Alberta Wheat Pool Elevator in various towns (Wembley being the last), Sheet Metal Journeyman at Lee’s Sheet Metal, Owner/Operator of Chaplin Bobcat & Owner/Operator Wapiti Taxidermy. He & Lynn were members of the Edmonton Wildrose Antique Collector for 35 years & enjoyed garage saling & refinishing antique furniture. They spent 3-4 weeks every summer fishing on Vancouver island. Larry was an avid big game hunter for the past 50 years (mostly in the Saddle Hills).
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynn, Son Brian (Kyla), Daughter Cheri (Paul), & eight Grandchildren, plus 2 sisters Linda (Doug) & Nancy (Lloyd).
Larry was predeceased by his Daughter Lori Sue, Parents Chappie & Bunny, and his brother Dale.
No memorial or celebration of life per Larry’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.
