Larry Ernest Parrish
1954-2025
It is with saddened
hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Larry Ernest
Parrish, age 70 of Hammonds Plains. Larry passed away peacefully at
home on Monday, February 3rd, 2025.
Born in Kentville on August 8, 1954 to the late Allison Parrish and
Doris Walsh.
Larry had many wonderful
memories of growing up in North Alton and was proud of his roots. He
enjoyed sharing stories of his youth, and the many adventures that
were had.
After high school, Larry
went on to Kings Regional Vocational School. He earned his trade as a
machinist, which lead him to moving to Halifax and making it his
home.
Larry established his
career and worked in the hydraulic industry for over 50 years, where
he was well known and respected by many. He devoted the last 29 years
to TRC Hydraulics
Inc. as service manager, providing exceptional customer service to
their clients.
Larry was a true
gentleman and left a lasting impression on everyone whom he crossed
paths with.
There was never an idle
moment, Larry was always on the go and doing something. He was an avid
NASCAR fan, having the privilege of attending several races over the
years. He enjoyed travelling, four wheeling, fishing and anything that
involved spending time with his grandsons.
The most important things
to Larry were the dedication to his job, the pride that he took in his
property, and most important of all, his family. The dedication,
support and love that he showed to his family was like no
other. No matter how busy he was, or what he had on the go,
he was always present in the moment.
Larry will be deeply
missed by his loving wife Katherine; beloved daughter Melissa;
dependable son-in-law Barry; and cherished grandsons, Jacob and
Ryan.
Also survived by his
siblings, Gary (Cindy) Parrish, North Alton; Sharon Pineo,
Centreville; Marlene Andrews (Bruce), North Alton; Elaine (Nickey)
MacNutt, Pereau and Vincent (Valerie) Parrish, North Alton.
