Obituary of Kevin Tremblett
Tremblett | Obituary
It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the peaceful passing of Kevin Tremblett surrounded by his loving family at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Thursday, March 13th, 2025.
Kevin’s most cherished possession in the world was his family, and he radiated pride whenever he spoke about his son Todd, his daughter Tabitha, and their families. His heart overflowed with love and adoration for his four granddaughters, cherishing each one as a unique and precious treasure in his life. Sheila, his true love and devoted wife, was the unwavering source of love, strength, and support that fueled Kevin through every chapter of his life.
Kevin was born in Bonavista, NL and spent his early years there, but it was in CBS, NL where he grew up, creating countless memories with his shenanigans. He met Sheila by chance on a sliding hill, and from that moment, their shared love for the outdoors blossomed. While Kevin spent much of his life working in retail, he later shifted his focus and earned his Red Seal Certification in Pipefitting. After retiring at age 65, he embraced a well-earned freedom, spending his days travelling, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and enjoying peaceful boil-ups by the side of the pond.
Kevin leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 46 years, Sheila Tremblett; daughter: Tabitha (Chad Stokes); son: Todd (Victoria); granddaughters: Madeline, Ellie, Francesca, and Penelope; brothers: Ron (late wife, Elaine), Wallace (Karen), Albert (Gloria), Boyd (Sarah); sisters: June Noonan, Geraldine (Graham Mercer), Christine (Fred Noftall), Elizabeth (Clyde Sacrey); brother-in-law: Harvey (Jeannine) Short; sister-in-law: Sharon (Fred Topping); as well as a large number of extended family, friends and coworkers.
Predeceased by parents: Walter and Elizabeth Tremblett; parents-in-law: Harvey and Jean Short; brother: Wally (Peggy) Tremblett; and sister: Martina Tremblett.
Special mention and many thanks to Kevin’s doctors: Dr. Matthew Grenning, Dr. Bruce Doulton, and Dr. Mark Stefanelli; Comfort Home Care; his homecare workers (notably, Eletha Orr, Kayla Humber, Gabriel Lawson, and Brenda Power); the ALS Society; and, Majors Chris & Claudette Pilgrim, Major Calvin Fudge, Pastor Gary Andrews and Pastor Isaiah Simms.
Visitation on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 from 1-5pm in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, CBS.
Celebration of Life Service on Monday, March 17th at 1:30pm in the Salvation Army Corps, 331 Conception Bay Highway, CBS.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations to the Salvation Army – CBS Building Fund (can be made at the church or call 709-834-6596). To send a message of condolence, please visit: www.hickeysfuneralhome.com.
